A Scenic Stroll Through a Vital Habitat

The trail, crafted from local basalt rock, meanders through the 4-hectare site, featuring educational signs to help you spot signs of koala activity. Planted by concerned locals in 1958 due to the dwindling number of suitable food trees for koalas in the area, the reserve is now under the management of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. Situated approximately 16 kilometers from Lismore along Wyrallah Road, the walk covers 200-300 meters (return) and takes about 10-12 minutes, offering a moderate challenge with its short, steep sections and a few steps.

The reserve is open 24 hours but may close temporarily due to poor weather or fire danger.
